Better-than-Bottled Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing

Only four ingredients needed for the best homemade blue cheese dressing ever!

This recipe is so easy and produces such amazing results (way out of proportion to the effort), that you aren’t even going to believe it. You’ll never buy bottled blue cheese again, I promise.

You only need four ingredients:

1/2 cup of buttermilk
1/2 cup of sour cream
lots of cracked black pepper
5 ounces of blue cheese crumbles

That’s it. Just whisk the buttermilk, sour cream, and black pepper to taste (I use a lot of cracked black pepper, at least 2 teaspoons) together until it’s all smooth. Then stir in the blue cheese.

How easy was that?

I love this over a wedge of iceburg lettuce. It’s especially good with steak, too, because steak and blue cheese is the bomb. If you want it thicker, say for dipping veggies (or chicken wings….mmmmm), you can use an immersion blender to blend in some or all of the cheese.

I need to figure out what to do with the rest of my buttermilk now. Anyone have any ideas?
